Big J' Bakeries Consulting ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, WhatsApp and our consulting work, why we collect it, and your rights under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and the General Application and Implementation Directive (GAID) 2025 issued by the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).

4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:
- Service providers that host our website and database, and messaging providers such as WhatsApp, under data processing terms.
- When live chat is enabled, tawk.to receives chat messages and any name, phone number, bakery details, city and quiz context you share for our support team to respond. Live chat does not run on private admin or sign-in pages.
- Bakeries considering a baker, limited to the profile you agreed to share.
- Partner baking schools, only when you ask for a referral.
- Regulators, courts or law enforcement where Nigerian law requires it.
5. Client business information
Everything you share about your bakery during a Diagnostic or engagement is treated as confidential. We use it only to deliver our work for you, and we will not publish your name, results or testimonial without your written permission.
6. International transfers
Some of our providers store data outside Nigeria. Where this happens, we rely on the safeguards allowed under Part VIII of the NDPA, such as adequacy decisions or contractual protections.
7. How long we keep it
Enquiry and quiz data: up to 24 months after our last contact. Client engagement records: up to 6 years to meet tax and accounting duties. Baker profiles: until you ask us to remove them, or 24 months without an update. Data is then deleted or anonymised.
8. Security
We use access controls, encrypted connections and restricted database permissions to protect your data. If a breach is likely to put your rights at risk, we will notify the NDPC within 72 hours and inform you without undue delay, as the NDPA requires.
9. Your rights
Under the NDPA you may:
- Ask for a copy of your data and how it's used.
- Correct inaccurate data or ask us to delete it.
- Withdraw consent or object to processing, including direct messages.
- Ask us to restrict processing or move your data to another provider.
